Pip |
Sadly, yesterday my amazing dog had to be put down as old age was getting the better of him. He was 13 years old, and I remember the day he was born like it was yesterday. His mother, Pip who died nearly 4 years ago was lying under a chair in the dining room. We thought she was sleeping until my mum heard squealing noises in the room. From mum's reaction I thought it was a rat, which I have a massive fear of, but then mum screamed oh my god she's having puppies! I remember mum doing such a great job with them and helping Pip keep calm. I popped out with one of mum's friends to Woolworths to get some towels and sweets (sweets for me not the puppies!). Once arriving back home, I was greeted with five black and white puppies. I was such a little happy girl. After caring for them for a while, two of them got sold to strangers, one went to mum's friend, another went to mum's friend who has the father of them all, and we kept one, and named him Angus. When he was younger, he was a very active, happy dog who was always there. After Pip died, he became calmer and was very affectionate. It was lovely to be greeted by him when I came home from being out. It was lovely to walk him in the park and around the local streets, and it was lovely to see him watching everything my family and I did. He was such a loved dog, and even though he may not be here, he will always be with us in our hearts. But now he is resting in dog heaven with Pip, his mother and Charlie, his father.
Rest in peace Angus, I love you lots xxxxxx
