Customised converse

So, I've had a pair of converse just laying at the back of my wardrobe for about a year now and thought I should make them different to the common shop bought ones.

After trawling the internet for some inspiration, I came across an idea which I have never seen before, involving studs and superglue. Luckily I found some bargin flat studs on eBay for £3 inc. pp, so I grabbed them straight away.
It was a pretty straight forward task, which can be done in so many different ways. I started by placing the studs on the shoe in a way I liked. Once I played around, I finally thought of a pattern type thing of how I wanted them to look.

Now the challenge came of how to stick them on, to make sure they stayed on. Firstly, I tried putting some glue on the shoe but discovered that it just seeped straight through the canvas material. So I then put super glue on the back of the studs, and then placing them on the shoe, which thankfully worked.

Once one shoe is complete, then I moved onto the other one, which I found trickier and it didn't come out as neat for some reason.

And, hopefully after not too longer time you have a complete pair of customised converse...
